Edrol L. Rollie Wagner, 62, of Carmine, died March 21, 2005, in Seton Hospital in Austin. Rollie was born Jan. 27, 1943, in La Grange, Texas, to Lee and Leonie Spiess Wagner. He was baptized Nov. 5, 1943, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top and was confirmed April 14, 1957, in the same church by Pastor A.B. Weiss. He was a 1961 graduate of Round Top-Carmine High School. On Oct. 16, 1965, he married Marilyn Citzler in St. John s Lutheran Church in Rutersville. Rollie was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top. He lived in Winedale, working in his parents Winedale Store until their retirement. Then Rollie and Marilyn continued the business until 1989, when the University of Texas purchased it. He was also a retired juvenile corrections officer at Giddings State School. Rollie was very talented in woodworking and tin smithing. He never missed cooking for every event scheduled at Round Top Hall. Everyone in the Citzler family looked forward to Rollie s fried chicken. He loved to play cards, dominoes and pool. Rollie spoke German and had to learn English. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Wagner of Carmine; mother-in-law, Edna Citzler of La Grange; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Carolyn Bennetsen of La Grange, Albert Loehr of La Grange, E.J. and Margie Stibora of Bryan, Garry and Leonita Sanders of Carmine, Gene and Doris Citzler of La Grange and Allen and Annie Mueller of Ellinger; special brother , Jerry Blum of Houston; 11 nephews; five nieces; seven great-nephews; and 10 great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Arthur Citzler; sister-in-law, Alice Loehr; brothers-in-law, Milton Bage and John Smidovec; and nephew, Jeff Smidovec. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top with Pastor John David Nedbalek officiating. Burial will be in Richter Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22. Prayer service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Tory Bennetsen, Brian Bage, Baron Bennetsen, Greg Bage, Mark Bage, Brad Loehr, Kevin Stibora, Shane Stibora, Randy Sanders, Tim Sanders and Jerrell Smidovec. Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top, Winedale Historical Center or the American Cancer Society.
