Edward Lee Rybarski, 62, husband of Geraldine Dino Rybarski, died October 10, 2010 in Brenham. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary s Catholic Church of Brenham with Father David Ivey, officiant. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday evening from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a memorial service celebrating his life to begin at 7:30 p.m. Edward was born March 18, 1948 to Stanley and Nancy Roznowski Rybarski in Brenham, the sixth of nine children. He was baptized March 22, 1948 at St. Mary s Catholic Church, and confirmed Nov. 13, 1960 in the same church. Edward attended St. Mary s School and Brenham High School. In March of 1968, he was drafted and served in the U. S. Army until 1970 during the Viet Nam War. On April 2, 1969, he married Geraldine Dino Draehn at the Chapel on the base at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio. Edward was a very special person, and no one will ever replace him. He worked in various jobs before he and Dino opened Bren-Tex Pallet Co. in July of 1990. He truly enjoyed being his own boss. Together, Edward and Dino worked very hard to make the business a success. Edward s many friends knew how much he loved his forklift. A smart, hardworking man, he loved his family dearly, each and every one. Fishing, dove hunting, and barbecuing were favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed playing the eight liners. God bless you, you did a great job on your last play! He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Dino Rybarski of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law Scott Michael and Jennifer Rybarski of Brenham; twin daughters and sons-in-law Tracy Lynn and Bradley Raska, and Tammy Sue and Glenn Rosenbaum, all of Brenham; grandchildren: Kara Lee Rosenbaum and Carter Scott Rybarski. He is also survived by all five brothers and three sisters and their families: brothers and sisters-in-law Albert and Annie Rybarski of Brenham; Bruno and Margaret Rybarski of Huntsville; Frank and Lucille Rybarski of Brenham; Steve and Joy Rybarski of Brenham, and Stanley Rybarski of Austin; sisters and brothers-in-law Rose and Larry Boenker and Pat and Dee McIntyre, all of Brenham, and sister Edwina Hampton of Lufkin, and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, nieces Lisa Rybarski and Debra Budnik, and brother-in-law, Jerry Lee Hampton. Serving as pallbearers are Dean Rybarski, Larry Budnik, Donnie Rybarski, David Draehn, Jason Draehn, and Royce Draehn. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughter, Kara Rosenbaum, his grandson, Carter Rybarski, and all of Edward s friends and acquaintances. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Brazos Valley, 302 E. Blue Bell Road, Brenham, Tx. 77833. The family wishes to thank the Hospice caregivers, and all family and friends who helped in Edward s care by visits and gifts of food.
