Efrain Sanchez Torres of Brenham, Texas passed away in Beaumont, Texas on August 7, 2024, at the age of 55.
Efrain was born on July 30, 1969 in Bugambilia, Veracruz, Mexico to Antonio Sanchez Hernandez and Rosalinda Sanchez Torres. He was confirmed on December 15, 2001 and was united in marriage to Rosa Elia Laguna Gonzalez also on December 15, 2001.
He was employed as a tile setter/group leader in the construction business. Efrain was a hardworking, helpful, joyful and funny man. He was dedicated to his family and his job. Efrain never hesitated to lend a hand when it was needed. He loved spending time with his wife, children, brothers and sisters. When spending time with family he enjoyed singing karaoke alongside his brothers. His favorite time of the year was when he loaded up his truck and made his way to Mexico to spend the holidays with his family. He was very loved by many and will truly be missed.
Efrain is survived by his wife, Rosa Elia Laguna; son, Efrain Sanchez, Jr.; daughters and son-in-law, Nazareth and Cristian Sanchez and Melani Sanchez. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Arturo and Estela Sanchez, Norberto and Felipa Sanchez, Sain & Carmen Sanchez, Javier and Maria Felix Sanchez, Porfirio and Ma del Carmen Sanchez, Rafael and Leticia Sanchez; sister-in-law, Graciela Sanchez; sisters and brothers-in-law, Asuncion and Antolin Munoz and Adelma and Gregorio Olvera. Also surviving Efrain is his grandson, Cristian Jasiel Sanchez and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father, Antonio Sanchez Hernandez; mother, Rosalinda Sanchez Torres and brother, Joaquin Sanchez Torres.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Brenham with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Antonio Sanchez, Heriberto Olvera, Cristian Sanchez, Sain Sanchez, Jr., Ivan Olvera, Ricardo Juarez, Omar Juarez and Alexander Laguna.
