Elda Dusek

November 3, 1919 — September 19, 2013

Elda Frieda Dusek, 93, widow of Henry Dusek, passed away September 19, 2013 in Brenham Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine, with Pastor Rich Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the service Saturday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Elda Dusek was born November 3, 1919 in Welcome, Texas to Otto and Lisette Wensel Koehler. She was baptized Dec. 7, 1919 in Welcome by Rev. J. Appel, and later attended the County Line School. Elda was confirmed April 14, 1935 in Welcome Lutheran Church by Rev. I. M. Mansure. On January 12, 1941, she was married to Henry Dusek in Welcome Lutheran Church, where they continued their membership until 2006, at which time they joined Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Glynn Dreyer; grandchildren: Dana Bolcerek and husband Tommy, and Don Dreyer and wife Janie, all of Brenham; great-grandchildren: Chance and Chad Bolcerek; two step-great-grandchildren: Shannon Psencik and husband Ronnie, and Jeffery Burger; step-great-great grandchildren: Chase and Madison Psencik. Also surviving is her sister, Esther Schulz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine, or to Hospice Brazos Valley. Funeral arrangements for Elda Frieda Dusek are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
