Elizabeth Kubeczka

Elizabeth Marie Alexander Kubeczka, 78, of Brenham, died June 7, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Kubeczka was born July 8, 1930 to Pete and Valeria Wilganowski Alexander, in Bremond, Texas. She was baptized July 10, 1930 in St. Mary½s Catholic Church of Bremond, and later confirmed in the same church. On June 11, 1955, she married Victor Pete Kubeczka, also in St. Mary½s Catholic Church of Bremond. She was employed in the accounts payable department of Penzoil. A member of St. Mary½s Catholic Church in Brenham, Mrs. Kubeczka enjoyed canning, gardening, fishing, checking on her cattle and tending to her flower beds. Survivors are her husband, Victor Kubeczka of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law Darby and Kelly Kubeczka and Darrell and Cindy Kubeczka, all of Brenham; grandchildren Courtney Kubeczka, Kristen Kubeczka, Paul Kubeczka, Kevin Kubeczka, and Chris Kubeczka; sisters, Verna Luchak, and Mary Ann and Harold Neuhouse, and brother, George Alexander. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Valeria Alexander, a granddaughter, Renee Kubeczka; brother Raymond Alexander; sisters Sophia Snider and Josephine Alexander. The funeral mass for Elizabeth Marie Kubeczka will be celebrated Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary½s Catholic Church of Brenham, with Fr. David Ivey, celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel Tuesday evening with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary½s Catholic Church of Brenham.
