Elizabeth Kay Pomykal, 68, of Brenham, TX passed away September 20, 2021.
Elizabeth was born November, 22, 1952 in Brenham, TX to Verde and Janet Weiss Pomykal. She was baptized as a baby on December 21, 1952 and confirmed in 1967 at Wesley Brethren Church. She participated in a Believers Baptism in July 2003 at Fellowship Baptist Church. Elizabeth was a Texas A&M graduate.
Elizabeth enjoyed gathering with loved ones around the table to enjoy good food and good conversation. She spent as much time with her grandchildren as she could and loved her family and friends more than anything. Elizabeth had a love of learning that lasted throughout her lifetime and valued honesty and loyalty.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Verde and Janet Pomykal, brother-in-law, Larry Boehnemann, and aunt, Natalia Van Meter. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brant and Jennifer Oertli; daughters and son-in law, Michelle and Fermin Garcia, and Rachel Stewart; sisters and brother-in-law, Theresa and Phil Clay, and Kathie Boehnemann; grandchildren, Keegan and Camree Oertli, Dylan Ingham, Elise, Olivia and Vivian Garcia, and Jace Stewart and great-grandchild, Kaiya Smith.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Brant Oertli, Fermin Garcia, Dylan Ingham, Stephen Boehnemann, Josh Hadley, and Zach Smith.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, September, 23, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Brenham, TX with Pastor Darren Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Brethren Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham, TX 77833.
