Ella Kramer

December 23, 1934 — June 4, 2015

ELLA MAUD KRAMER, 80, passed away June 4, 2015 after a long and brave battle with cancer. She was born in Rockwood, TN on Dec. 23, 1934 to Elick and Myrtle Gummelt "Rogers" Kizziah. She was baptized and confirmed at St Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg in 1953 where she was a member and volunteered teaching Sunday School and VBS. At 18 she began a 30-year career at Brenham Cotton Mill. She then worked for 13 years at the Brenham State School before she retired. She married Reinhardt Kramer on June 7, 1986. Ella was a member of Burton Volunteer Ladies Fire Department auxiliary, Burton Cotton Gin & Museum, Sons of Hermann, and Bethlehem Cemetery Restoration Society. She also worked for the Burton funeral home and volunteered at the Brenham Thrift Shop. Ella loved children very much, and visits from her great grandchildren and the grandchildren from her close neighbors always warmed her heart. She also loved cats, dogs, and flowers. Ella had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and reflected that in the love that she gave and received from all who knew her. Ella is survived by sisters Ivy Kettler and husband Wesley and Martha Monroe; step daughters Maedell Dillon and Betty Vasek; nephews Darrel Monroe and wife Clara and Keith Monroe; niece Sharon Homes; one half-sister and six half-brothers; step-grandchildren Dorothy and Larry Hinsley, Sandra and Ben Howell, Marie and Doug Ivey, and David and Sue Vasek. She was preceded in death by her only son, Rory Neil Seilheimer, who died in 1982; husband Reinhardt; mother and father; brothers Allen and James "Jimmy", and twin brother Elick; brother-in-law Bobby Monroe; nephew Randy Kettler. The family would also like to thank Ella''s long-time friends and closest neighbors Larry and Karen Klehm for their help and support, as well as Rev. Denise Seymour for her care and spiritual support. Also, we give our sincere thanks to Ella''s caregiver, Beverly Berger, for the wonderful, heartfelt care she provided. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday June, 7 2015, at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church of Rehburg with Pastor Denise Seymour officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday June, 6 form 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice Brazos Valley or to St. Paul''s Lutheran Church.
