Elmarine Engelage Gremillion, 74, of Houston, died Nov. 7, 2005, in Memorial City Hospital. She died peacefully after a brief illness. Ms. Gremillion was born March 6, 1931, in Brenham, Texas, to Charles and Bettie Schultz Engelage. She was baptized June 7, 1931, in the Berlin community, near Brenham and was confirmed April 14, 1946, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Houston. She was a 1950 graduate of Regan High School. Ms. Gremillion worked in the payroll department at Weiner s and retired in 1996. She was active with Citizens on Patrol at Shepherd Park Plaza and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Houston for many years. She was married for 35 years to Billy Frank Gremillion. She was a loving mother to Lance Wayne Gremillion and wife Shannon of Tomball; and a loving grandmother to Zachary W. Gremillion of Houston, Aaron M. Gremillion of Houston and Emily Albrecht of Bulverde. She is also survived by her partner through her golden years, Charles Ament; and her closest cousins, Laura Raitz and husband Felix and Lily Stovall. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11 in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham with Walter Michael Cook officiating. Service arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
