Elsie Fay Wegner, 74, passed away May 10, 2018 at her home in Brenham.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton. Pastor Charles Stark will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
Elsie Fay Schneider Wegner was born in Brenham on August 5, 1943 to Willie Sr. and Elsie Grimm Schneider.
After attending area schools, Elsie worked for TFE Co. in the shipping department. She married Joseph Wegner, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jo Wegner; granddaughters Julie Gayton and husband Brandon, and Willow Wegner; sister, Peggy Kunkel; brother and sister-in-law , Glen and Debra Schneider; brother-in-law Elwood Oevermann; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert and Linda Wegner, and Richard and Olga Wegner; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Schneider. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Wegner; father and mother, Willlie Sr. and Elsie Schneider; brother, Willie Schneider, Jr; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Verlie Wegner; sister, Adolphine Oevermann.
Memorials may be directed to St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton.
