Elvis Jaster

Elvis F. Jaster, 85, of Brenham, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in Trinity Medical Center. Mr. Jaster was born October 6, 1921 in Fayette County, Texas to Fritz R. and Alma Plueckhahn Jaster. He was baptized April 22, 1922 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top, and confirmed September 29, 1935, also at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top. He married Pearlie Schoenberg on December 20, 1941 in Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine, Texas. Mr. Jaster served in the U. S. Air Force. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham, and was a retired banker. Survivors include his wife, Pearlie Schoenberg Jaster; daughters Judy Krizan of Dallas and Jane Coppage and husband Charles of Carrollton; sisters and brothers-in-laws Mabel Schmidt and husband Nolan of Carmine; Janette Schmidt and husband Reuben of Round Top; Idell Kraus of Giddings, and Willie Mae Lueckemeyer and husband Odell of Brenham. Private graveside services for Elvis F. Jaster will be held Friday, May 11, 2007 at Prairie Lea Cemetery, with a memorial service following at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. Pastors Matthew Jacobs and William Holzer will officiate. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church Together We Grow Bulding Fund.
