Emerine Mary Scroggins, 84, of Brenham, the widow of Fermin Dale Scroggins, died March 28, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center. Mrs. Scroggins was born June 12, 1922 in Greenvine, Texas, to Carl and Lydia Stark Boehnemann. She was baptized October 15, 1922 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine and confirmed May 16, 1937, also at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine. She was married to Fermin Dale Scroggins in Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Mrs. Scroggins was employed by the Army Air Force Enlistment Services in the U. S. Defense Department. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Cedar Hill, Texas. Survivors include a sister, Allyne Boehnemann of Burton; brother and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Johnnie Mae Boehenemann of Brenham and Lorena Boehnemann of Burton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Garlin and Bonnie Scroggins of Bowie, Texas; Nephews and nieces, Leslie, Jr. and Jane Boehnemann; Roy and Linda Boehnemann; Ronnie and Tracie Boehnemann; Joyce and Keith Burns; Delores and Frank Christian, 10 great nieces and nephews, and numerous great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fermin Dale Scroggins; her parents, Carl and Lydia Boehnemann; sisters, Vera Lockstedt and Esther Boehnemann, brothers, Leslie Boehnemann, Sr., and Carl Boehnemann, Jr. Funeral services for Emerine Mary Scroggins will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Pam Werrell officiating, Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, Texas, with Rev. Joel Berthelsen officiating. Visitation with the family will take place Friday, March 30, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. Serving as pallbearers are Shay Woods, Gil Janner, Leslie Boehnemann, Jr., Roy Boehnemann, Ronnie Boehnemann, and Gary Scroggins. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
