Emilia M. Strang, 76, of Brenham, died Dec. 13, 2006, at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mrs. Strang was born Jan. 26, 1930, in East Houston, Texas, to Andrew Sr. and Adela Rod Montemayor. On Jan. 23, 1951, she was married to Harold D. Strang, Sr. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville and the American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Strang was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Harold D. Strang, Sr. of Brenham; three sons and daughters-in-law, Harold D. Jr. and Janet Strang of Maurice, Louisiana, Richard Joseph and Stacy Strang and Andrew A. and Deborah Strang, all of Dayton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Ann and Walt Russell of Cypress, Grace and Robert Rawls of Dayton and Edith and Richard Wieder of Giddings; two brothers, Joe Montemayor of Corpus Christi and Andrew Montemayor of Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Eva Coleman of Beaumont, Lupe Humphery of Longview and Betty Montemayor of Conroe; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Telessa Strang; two brothers; and a sister. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Harvey Abke officiating at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville with Pastor Jim Abbott officiating. Mrs. Strang s sons and sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville.
