Emma Johnson

March 25, 1915 — July 7, 2007

Emma Beth Webster Johnson, known to family and friends as Betty, died in her home on July 7, 2007 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her parents, J. Grant and Emma Hubener Webster; one brother, J. Grant Webster, and her beloved husband of 56 years, Donald N. Johnson. Private graveside services will be held at Mart City Cemetery in Mart, Texas, where Betty will be laid to rest in the Johnson family plot. A memorial service will be held at Brenham Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 3:00 p.m., with reception immediately following. Visitation with family and friends will be held Tuesday, July 10 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include her nephew, J. Grant Webster, Jr. and wife Martha, their two daughters, Carly and Jessica and son, Darren; two first cousins, Mrs. Ann Alter and family of Houston; Mrs. Helen Dodds and husband Jim of San Antonio and their extended family. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be given to the Brenham Presbyterian Church Building Fund. Betty and her family want to express their deep appreciation to her wonderful friends, especially her church family, for their concern and outpouring of love during her illness. We wish to express a heartfelt thanks to Hospice Brazos Valley-Hospice Brenham for their incredible support, especially to Delta for her devotion to Betty s care.
