Ervin Milton Kuecker, 81, of Brenham, passed away March 10, 2007 in Trinity Care Center in Brenham. He was born May 27, 1925 in the Mound Hill community near Brenham to Henry and Elsie Janner Kuecker. On July 19, 1925, he was baptized at St. John s Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill and confirmed there on April 2, 1939. He attended schools at Live Oak Hill and Burton. On November 12, 1944, he was married to LaVerna Horstmann at St. Matthew s Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill. Ervin served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham. He had been a member of the Men in Mission, Kiwanis Club, Mound Hill Shooting Club, Top Cats, and VFW. He was a long-time salesman for Life & Casualty/American General Insurance Company. Ervin enjoyed visiting his many clients and also loved traveling, dancing, and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, LaVerna; son, Michael; two brothers, Elroy Kuecker and Clarence Kuecker; three brothers-in-law, Erwin Schulze, Herbert Sebesta, and Alvin Lorenz; two sisters-in-law, Betty Kuecker and Dorothy Kuecker; and two nephews, Craig Kuecker and Greg Sebesta. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Kuecker of Brenham, Nancy Kuecker of Sour Lake, Mark and Rebecca Kuecker of Carmine, and Ron and Karla Kuecker of Brenham; grandchildren, Dawn Kuecker Bolcerek and husband, Gary, of Brenham, Clint Kuecker of Carmine, and Kade and Karah Kuecker of Sour Lake; and great-granddaughter, Jessalynn Bolcerek of Brenham; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Blondean Kuecker of Brenham, Wilfred and Barbara Kuecker of Brenham, Howard and Mildred Kuecker of Brenham, Charles Kuecker of Brenham, and Gerald and Theresa Kuecker of Brenham; sisters, Evelyn Schulze of Brenham and Doris Sebesta of Snook; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Evelyn Lorenz of Brenham and Mildred and John Tiaden of Brenham and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors form 6:00 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 12 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham with Pastor Charles Parnell and Pastor Lydia Petersen officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearer will be Gary Schulze, Lance Kuecker, Troy Kuecker, Brad Kuecker, Charles Lorenz, and Garral Tiaden. Memorials may be given to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., Brenham.
