Ervin Mitschke

Ervin M. Mitschke, 86, of Navasota, husband of Dolores Kveton Mitschke, passed away November 11, 2010 at the family residence. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church of White Hall. Pastor Christopher Richardson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Mitschke was born March 19, 1924 in Loebau, Texazas to Otto O. and Martha Matthijetz Mitschke. He was baptized in the Loebau Lutheran Church and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Giddings. Ervin was educated in the Greencreek School near Ledbetter. A veteran, he served his country in the U. S. Air Force during World War II. On July 14, 1946, he married Dolores Kveton in Trinity Lutheran Church in Houston. He was a homebuilder. Ervin was also a member of Salem Lutheran Church of White Hall, the American Legion, as well as the American Rifle Association. Survivors include his wife, Dolores Mitschke of Navasota; sister-in-law Bess Janicek of Austin, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Memorials may be directed to the Salem Lutheran Church of White Hall or Hospice Brazos Valley. Serving as pallbearers are Charles Black, Stephen Schneider, Mark Schiel, Daryl Sanders, Dennis Sanders, and Roger Bennett. He was preceded in death by three sisters Ella O''Neal, Esther Iselt, and Frieda Sanders; 2 brothers Louis Mitschke and Edwin Mitschke Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham. 979836-4564.
