Estella Stella Nienstedt, 76, of Burton, our dear and loving mother, departed this life June 28, 2005, to join our father in their heavenly home. Stella was born January 6, 1929, in Gay Hill, Texas, to Rueben and Waga Mantey Hueske. She was baptized April 21, 1929, in Somerville, Texas and was confirmed June 13, 1943, at the First Lutheran Church of Somerville. She graduated from Somerville High School in 1946. On November 27, 1952, she married Robert Nienstedt Jr. at the First Lutheran Church of Somerville. They made their home in the community of Rehburg. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg, where she taught Sunday school and Bible school and was a member of the Women of the ELCA. She was always involved with her family and was a great cook. Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Nienstedt of Burton, Robert W. Nienstedt and wife Cherie of Navasota, Ronnie Nienstedt and wife Debra of Brenham, Bobby Nienstedt and wife Christy of Navasota; daughter, Karla K. Nienstedt of Burton; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Lynn, Stephanie, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Raley, Corie, McKenzie and Sadie; great-grandchild, Trent; sister, Juanita Landolt of Lyons; sister-in-law, Bernice Steinbach of Carmine; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Waldo and Esther Nienstedt of Burton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Nienstedt Jr., on April 27, 1989; an infant sister, Josephine; a brother, R.J.; brothers-in-law, Bert Landolt and Raymond Steinbach; nieces, Glenda and Lori; infant sister-in-law, Waldine; and infant nephew and niece, Howard and Lisa. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30 in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg with Pastor Larry Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 in Foehner Funeral Home in Burton. Pallbearers will be her nephews: Bertell Landolt, Keith Landolt, Curtis Fuchs, Ricky Hueske, Justin Lewis, Ray Nienstedt and Allen Wickel. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Gaskamp, Clinton Mantey and Donnie Steinbach. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Brenham or St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Foehner Funeral Home in Burton.
