Esther Schroeder Klussmann, 94, widow of Martin F. Buster Klussmann, died April 26, 2009 in Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village. She was born in William Penn, Washington County, To Rudolph and Mathilda Loesch Schroeder on June 16, 1914. Mrs. Klussmann was baptized and confirmed in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn, and she married Martin Klussmann on November 29, 1939 in the same church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Landon and Shirley Klussmann, Vernon and Marilyn Klussmann, Rayburn and Patsy Klussmann, and Karlton and Artie Klussmann, all of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Larry Molitor of Brenham; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Johanna Emshoff and Hennie Schroeder, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Martin F. Klussmann; a brother and sister-in-law, Wilbert and Virginia Schroeder, sister, Martha Schroeder, nephew Ronnie Schroeder, and a great-nephew, Len Schroeder. Funeral services for Esther Klussmann will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeffery King officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and family at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn.
