Eugene C. Seeker, 74, of Brenham, died Jan. 29, 2004, at his residence. Mr. Seeker was born Jan. 18, 1930, in Brenham, TX, to Adolph and Emma Stegemueller Seeker. He was baptized March 2, 1930, in St. John Lutheran Church in Prairie Hill by Pastor Paul Gogolin and was confirmed April 2, 1944, in the same church by the same pastor. On Oct. 16, 1955, he married Dolores Buddenberg in St. James Lutheran Church in New Wehdem. Mr. Seeker was the former owner of Seeker Distributing Co. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Prairie Hill, where he was a member of the Men s Choir. He was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, Prairie Hill-Rocky Hill Fire Department and the Prairie Hill-Rocky Hill Shooting Club. Survivors include his wife, Dolores Seeker of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Christin Seeker of Brenham; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Barnay Glaesmann, Linda and Garral Tiaden and Donna Seeker, all of Brenham; 4 grandchildren, Kelly Dismukes and fiancé James Antkowiak, Jenna Dismukes, Brittany Tiaden and Christopher Tiaden; brother and sister-in-law, Edwin Sr. and Emma Seeker of Brenham; niece, Jean Seeker; nephew, Butch Seeker and wife LaNell; and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Emma Seeker; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Clara Buddenberg; and brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Ellen Seeker. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in St. John Lutheran Church in Prairie Hill with Dr. Sue Beall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kelly Dismukes, Jenna Dismukes, Christopher Tiaden, Brittany Tiaden, Edwin Butch Seeker, Jean Seeker, Troy Seeker and Russell Seeker. Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Villanueva, Glenwood and Annie Mae Buerger, special neighbor Brooke Konieczny, the Men s Choir and musicians of St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, choir director Mary Longhofer; and all his breakfast and coffee buddies. Memorials may be given to Hospice Brenham, 705 S. Austin St., Brenham, or St. John Lutheran Church, 6605 Old Independence Rd., Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
