Eva Kenjura

Eva Kaminski Kenjura, 96, of Brenham, died Feb. 29, 2004, at Trinity Care Center in Brenham. Mrs. Kenjura was born Jan. 21, 1908, in Washington County, TX, to Frank and Mollie Michaelena Kubeczka Kaminski. She was the last surviving of 13 children. On Sept. 26, 1926, she married Pete Kenjura in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. She was a member of St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham, where she was a member of the Altar Society. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Cecelia Fisk of Brenham, Irene and Robert Riley of San Marcos, Dee Taylor of Richmond, Ernest and Peggy Kenjura of Houston and Fran and Jim Langen of Corpus Christi; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pete Kenjura; son, Arthur Lee Kenjura; daughters, Barbara Baker and Banie Benford; 2 great-grandchildren; six brothers; two sisters; and sons-in-law, Jack Taylor and Arthur Lee Fisk. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, in Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 3 in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham with Father David Ivy, celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
