Evelyn Pearl Thielemann, 91, the widow of Elton F. Thielemann, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2015 with her daughters by her side. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7 PM, Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham, Texas with Pastor Matthew Jacobs and Pastor William Holzer officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Evelyn was born on September 24, 1923 in the Muellersville community of Washington County to Chas. and Pearlie Remmert Rosenbaum. She was baptized on November 25, 1923 in Salem Lutheran Church by Rev. Wm. Utesch who also confirmed her on March 21, 1937. She was educated at Salem School and graduated from Brenham High School in 1941. Evelyn Pearl was married to Elton Fred Thielemann on January 8, 1942 in Malone, Texas by the Rev. R. H. Wensel. Evelyn enjoyed sewing and quilting for her children and grandchildren, flower gardening, and playing cards and dominoes with her family and friends. She enjoyed a career in sales for thirty years, retiring from J. C. Penney and Weiner''s Department Stores. She has been an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Ladies LWML of the Church. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include daughter, Lanette Pledger of Brenham, and daughter and son-in-law, Inell and David Partin of Bryan; grandchildren, Emily Pledger Moran and husband Jacob of Dallas, Kate Partin Souquette and husband Chris of Leander, Caroline Pledger Garry and husband Benjamin of Houston, Margaret Pledger Grauke and husband Ole of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Charles Elton Partin and wife Destiny Ellis of College Station, Rebecca Pledger Turk and husband Christopher of Florence, South Carolina, and Mary Evelyn Partin and fiancé Jason Hendrix of Austin; great-granddaughters, Ilana Pearl Grauke, Ava Elizabeth Souquette, and Havilah Nell Grauke; brother Charlie Rosenbaum of Brenham, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Laurine and Herbert Mansur of Onalaska, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Elton in 1985 and son Norville in 1946; her parents, sister and brother-in-law Marjorie and Wm. C. Bogusch, sister-in-law Gladys Rosenbaum, parents-in-law Robert and Frieda Thielemann, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Giles and Lenora Bormann. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jake, Chris, Ben, Ole, Chip, Christopher, and Jason. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church or your favorite charity. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham, Texas.
