Flossie Fay Roberts, 89, of Brenham and formerly of Corpus Christi, died April 18, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mrs. Roberts was born Nov. 4, 1915, in Ranger, Parker County, Texas, to Frank and Eldorda Sturdivant Yarbrough. She was educated in Morton Valley High School. On Dec. 3, 1936, she was married to Homer W. Roberts in Eastland, Texas. She lived in Corpus Christi and Fulton until 1987, when she moved to Brenham. She faithfully attended Calvary Baptist Church, where she was active with the benevolence committee. She enjoyed playing 42 with her friends. Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joys of her life. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Kay Roberts of Brenham; son-in-law, Scott Whitlock of Dallas; four grandchildren, Shelley and Commander John O Neill, Macy Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Trey Whitlock and Mr. and Mrs. Ric Whitlock; several great-grandchildren; and special friends, Chuck and Sophia Lick and the Brian Lick family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer W. Roberts; parents; sister, Ruby Roberts; and daughter, Barbara Whitlock. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 22 in Calvary Baptist Church in Brenham with Rev. Larry Embry and Bob Craig officiating. A graveside service will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 22 in Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi. The family will be receiving friends and relatives from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1100 Niebuhr, Brenham, TX 77833. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
