Frances Bayer Lehmann, 83 of Brenham, TX passed away May 21, 2021.

A visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Salem Lutheran Church with Pastor Dr. Craig Dohse. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Mrs. Lehmann was born in Burton, TX on March 17, 1938 to William Frederick and Lydia Sturm Bayer. She married her husband, Alvin Lehmann, on November 24, 1957.

Mrs. Lehmann helped run the family business, Lehmann TV. Over the years she was involved in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H, Salem Lutheran Church, Salem Women Quilting group and owned Magnolia Day Care. She worked at the Brenham State School and BISD as teaching assistants before retiring. She was a cancer survivor for fifteen years. She helped at the Salem Lutheran Church Sunday School as a teacher, a VBS teacher, and with crafts and snacks. Within the church, she was also involved in the Funeral Committee, Quilting Group, Dorcas Bible Study Group, and Senior Citizens.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, Alvin Lehmann; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert and Tracy Lehmann of Brenham, Alan and Airin Lehmann of Fort Worth; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Gary Grantham of Brenham, and Linda and Joel Brock of Somerville; sister, Lilly Mae Cendalski of Lubbock; sister Ora Nell Loesch of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie and Billy Blocker of Ingram; grandchildren, Neil Mueller and his girlfriend Estefani Silva, Jordan Lehmann, Whitney and husband Floyd Ingram, Kaylin Lehmann, Travis Lehmann, Juliana Lehmann, Lydia Brock, and Seth Brock; great-grandchildren, Amalia Mueller, Johann Mueller, and Tyler Lehmann; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William F. Bayer and Lydia Bayer; brothers, Daniel Bayer, Joe Bayer, and James Bayer; sister-in-law, JoAnne Bayer; brothers-in-law, Melvin Loesch and Bruno Cendalski; and niece, Julie Bayer.

Serving as pallbearers will be relatives and friends.

Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
