Frank Burpo Jr.

Frank B. Burpo Jr., age 93, passed away on Sunday, March 24th in Brenham, Texas.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

Frank was born on December 20, 1925 in Dallas, Texas to Frank B. Burpo Sr. and Jewell (Mc Adams) Burpo. Frank graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas Texas. He joined the Navy during World War II and was stationed in Shang Hi China and Okinawa Japan. After the war he attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he obtained a degree in engineering. He worked for Bell Helicopter for most of his career. Frank was a Master Mason at the Keystone Masonic Lodge #1143. One of his favorite hobbies was shooting skeet. After retiring from Bell Helicopter he moved to Brenham, Texas in 1998 to be near his daughter and grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his three sisters, LaVerne Posey Power, Marjorie Murphy, and Virginia Burpo and his brother, Robert Burpo.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Burpo Yount, his daughter, Andrea Holle, son in law Ken Ray Holle , grandchildren, Samantha and Christopher Holle, his step son, Britton Wilson, wife Beth, grandchildren, Cameron, Meredith and Benjamin Wilson, and his nephews, Mike Posey, Randy Posey, Pat Murphy and their children.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice Brazos Valley.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel.
