Frank Goodrich

Frank Edwin Goodrich 80, of Brenham, Texas went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2014. Frank was born July 26, 1933 in Henry County, Missouri to the late Frank Perry and Ruth Greeson Goodrich. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1953. He attended United Electronics Institute and upon graduating was employed by Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad and moved his family to Texas, where he retired after 28 years with the railroad. On July 2, 1955, he married Mary Louise Moomaw in Clinton, Missouri. To this union two daughters, Anita Louise and Vicki Rae were born. He was a member of First United Methodist Church Brenham, was president of Wesley Sunday School Class at FUMC, active member of Brazos Valley Emmaus Community, part-time leader of Washington County Laymen''s Prayer Breakfast. One of his greatest joys was traveling and camping at State Parks with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Louise of 58 years, daughters, Anita Louise and Vicki Rae both of Brenham, grandchildren Christopher Alan Goodrich of Houston, Matthew Ryan Huebner and Anitra Naomi Thomas of Brenham. Brother and sister-in-law, James and Katherine Goodrich of Liberty, Missouri, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kathryn and Rev. Harold Johnson of Bolivar, Missouri, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Clarence Allen, Earl Wilbur and sister Frances Ruth Anders. Funeral services for Frank Edwin Goodrich are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Brenham, with Pastors Kay Reed and Jon Stouffer officiating. Burial will follow in the Phillipsburg Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Brown, Doug Summerour, Simon Quinteros, Steve Huebner, Jerry Heitman, and Ronnie Gilbert. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Frank''s honor to First United Methodist Church or Hospice of Brazos Valley, 302 Blue Bell Rd, Brenham, TX 77833. Honorary pallbearers: Wesley Sunday School Class and Laymen''s Prayer Breakfast members. Funeral arrangements for Frank Goodrich are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
