Freddean Swansey

FredDean Viola Swansey, 80, widow of Jesse J. Swansey, died May 10, 2017 in Brenham.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, May 15, 2017 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Bellville, with Father Tim Bucek, Officiant. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

FredDean Swansey was born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 16, 1936 to Fredrick Vitalis and Rosetta Louise Boatwright Casner. She took care of her family as a homemaker, as well as working as a professional model at Macy’s. Watching game shows on T.V. and working crossword puzzles were favorite pastimes. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Michael Swansey of Bellville; daughters and sons-in-law Shirley and Allen Rust, and Sharon and Scott Boll, all of Brenham; sisters Delores Price and Georgia Farr, and sister-in-law, Elsie Engle, all of Brazoria; brothers and sisters-in-law Stephen and Mary Casner of Brazoria; Fredrick Jr. and Gail Casner of Oregon, and John and Sheryl Casner of Livingston; grandchildren: Evelyn Boll, Brandon Boll, Steven Rust; James and Christina Rust, Mark and Lynn Rust, Emily Swansey, Andrew Swansey, Presley Swansey, Amanda and Travis Walber, and Daniel Swansey; great-grandchildren: Riley Rust, Kaley Rust, Michaela Rust, and Cheyanne Rust.

Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mrs. Swansey was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Swansey; son, Frank Swansey; brother, Craig Casner, and her parents.
