Garrett Fritz Hugo, 81, of Conroe, the husband of Willie Mae Ganske Hugo, died Saturday at Odyssey Health Care Center in Conroe, TX. Mr. Hugo was born October 11, 1926 to Henry and Ella Hohlt Hugo, Jr. in Gay Hill, Texas. He attended Brenham High School and Blinn College. Mr. Hugo served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. On May 28, 1950, he married Willie Mae Ganske in St. Peter s Lutheran Church of Gay Hill. He was employed by the J. C. Penney Dept. Store as a Master male clothing specialist. Mr. Hugo was a member of Abiding Word Lutheran Church of Conroe and the Sons of Hermann. He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Hugo of Conroe; daughter Carolyn Kay Douglas of Conroe; grandchildren Michelle Karp and husband Steven of Spring, and Sherie Mazurowski of Ft. Worth; great-grandchildren: Mason and Jenna Karp. Two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services for Garrett Frtiz Hugo will be held Tuesday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Valleskey officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will take place from 5:00 until 7:30 on Monday, December 10 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorials may be Abiding Word Lutheran Church of Conroe.
