Gay Lynn Wolf McDaniel

GayLynn McDaniel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world at the age of 71 after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease surrounded by loved ones on July 27, 2022 in Houston, Texas. She was born on July 25, 1951 to Evelyn and Henry Wolff in Houston, Texas.
On August 8, 1970 she married Gary Neal McDaniel and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with close family. Gay Lynn and Gary worked together over the last 50 years operating their own business, McDaniel Air Conditioning. Gay Lynn connected with every customer on a personal level and was the heart of the business.
Gay Lynn was passionate about her children and her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends, gardening, cooking and listening to music. She was very organized and was known for her ability to get things done!
Gay Lynn is preceded in death by her loving parents. She is survived by her husband, Gary Neal McDaniel, her sister, Joy Lynn Zajac, her aunt, Ora Lee Levien, her two sons, Gary Hugh (and Michelle) McDaniel and Bryan Cecil (and Heather) McDaniel, her five grandchildren, Chris, Jack, Lauren, Sophia, and Sidney, niece Brittany Zajac, nephew Nicholas Zajac and numerous loved cousins, family and friends.
This kind, beautiful and generous woman will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved without hesitation and genuinely cared about everyone she came in contact with.
The family is grateful for all of the prayers, love and support throughout her illness.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 14423 West Road Houston, TX 77041. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Florida Chapel Cemetery, 105 Florida Chapel Road Round Top, TX 78954. Lunch to follow at Round Top Rifle Association Hall, 710 FM1457 Round Top, TX 78954.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
