Geneva Beatrice Rosenbaum Herrmann, 84, wife of the late Alvin H. Herrmann, died on March 8, 2010 in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Geneva Beatrice Rosenbaum Herrmann was born January 7, 1926, in Burton, Texas to August and Rosa Lee Wilkening Rosenbaum. She was baptized on February 28, 1926 in St. Paul Lutheran Evangelical Church in Rehburg and later confirmed in the same church on September 3, 1939. On August 16, 1943, she married Alvin H. Herrmann and enjoyed 41 years of marriage until his death in 1984. She was a member of St. Paul''s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham. Geneva was a sweet and very loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She cared deeply for her family and was cherished by everyone. She had a heart of gold and the warmest smile that would light up her eyes. She enjoyed attending church, cooking, family gatherings, watching her favorite shows on TV, and attending her grandchildren''s events. She and her husband founded Alvin H. Herrmann Garage in Brenham. Survivors include daughter, Darlene Heckmann of Austin; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Ron Schlottmann of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl and Linda Lou Herrmann and Jerry and Linda Kay Herrmann of Brenham; grandchildren, Jennifer DeVoke of College Station, Cheryl Moran of Austin, Rachel Smith of Austin, Chris Schlottmann of Haslett, Michael Herrmann, Taylor Herrmann, and RJ Stanford of Brenham; great-grandchildren, Aidan and Ethan Smith, Felix Moran, Renee and Sara DeVoke, and Evan and Dylan Schlottmann; brother and sister-in-law Earl and Jannet Rosenbaum of Brenham; sisters, Ruby Boyd of Call, Juanita Seilheimer and Mary Randermann Franklin of Brenham; sisters-in-law, Virgine Rosenbaum, Elsie Herrmann and Ella Mae Love of Brenham; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin H. Herrmann; her parents, brothers Bill Rosenbaum, Sherwood Rosenbaum, Irvin Rosenbaum and Lonnie Rosenbaum; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 11, 2010, at St. Paul''s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham, with Pastor Lawrence Bade and Pastor Phil Fenton officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Lea Cemetery of Brenham. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Chris Schlottmann, and Michael Herrmann; John DeVoke, Buzz Moran, Michael Kluck, and Jamie Balagia. Perry Rudloph will be honorary pallbearer. Memorial contributions can be given to St. Paul''s Christian Day School or to St. Paul''s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
