George Mayben

George William Mayben, 53, of Brenham, passed away February 25, 2008 at Brenham State School. Mr. Mayben was born February 18, 1955 to G. W. and Norma Lee Osborn Mayben in Friona, Texas. He was employed at Sealy Mattress Co. Survivors include his mother, Norma Lee Mayben of Abilene, Texas; sister, Sherri Mayben from Buffalo Gap, Texas; nephew, Abram Best; nieces: Darcy Best Radcliffe, Grace Best Robinson, Abigail Best Taylor, Hannah Best Denton, and Sarah Best. He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Norma Sue Mayben and his grandparents, Grace and Jess Osborn, formerly of Muleshoe, Texas, a cousin, Susan Lee Coleman; aunt, Sue Coleman, both of Amarillo, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for George William Mayben will be held Tuesday, February 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lillian Wilder Chapel at Brenham State School, with Rev. Jim Ferguson and Rev. Charles Parnell officiating. Burial will be at Bailey Co. Memorial Cemetery in Muleshoe. Memorials may be given to the Volunteer Services Organization of Brenham State School, 4001 Hwy. 36 South, Brenham, Tx. 77833. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
