George Patterson

George Clayton Patterson, 89, of Chappell Hill, died March 22, 2007, at the home of his daughter in North Zulch, Texas. Mr. Patterson was born Oct. 11, 1917, in New York City, New York, to George William and Frances Costuma Patterson. On Dec. 24, 1939, he married his wife Elizabeth. Mr. Patterson was a long-time member of St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, George Charles and Margaret Patterson of Highland Village; two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth Frances and John Nosovitch of North Zulch and Maureen Patterson of Houston; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Patterson, on Dec. 17, 2002; and two brothers. The family will receive visitors between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 26. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27 at St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be George Patterson, James Patterson, John Nosovitch, Jr., James Nielson, Spencer Nielson and Frank Kyle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 W. 26th St., Bryan, TX 77803. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
