Geraldine Pearson

Geraldine Mitchell Pearson, age 82, of Brenham passed away Thursday, Aug 19, 2021 at home with her family. Burial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Aug 28, 2021, at Prairie Lea Cemetery with Chad Marrs officiating. All family and friends are invited to attend the burial service. Services are under the care and direction of Memorial Oaks Chapel 1306 W. Main St. Brenham, Texas 77833. After the Burial service, a reception with BBQ will be held at Sports Building 2425 North Park Street, Brenham Texas 77833.

Geraldine Mitchell was born at home in Walters, Oklahoma September 08, 1938, to Leonard and Mildred Mitchell. She graduated from Walters High School. Geraldine started working for Southwestern Bell at age eighteen. She married Donald Ray Pearson Sr. on October 12th, 1956, and in 1965 moved to Houston, Texas.  Geraldine became a keypunch operator for Bordon Milk Company in Houston. In 1972 Geraldine and her family moved to Brenham.  There she worked in an insurance office and later contributed 20 years to Relizon Company. Throughout her life, she enjoyed oil painting, drinking a beer, taking care of her cats, and bird feeding.  Geraldine was also a great mom and a good cook to her three sons.

She is survived by a brother, Leon Mitchell and his wife Roberta of Lawton, Oklahoma and a sister Nancy Britt of Lumberton, NC; her son-and-daughter-in-law, D.R.Pearson Jr. and wife Rhonda of Baytown, Roger Pearson and wife Dalene of Wimberley, and Lance Pearson and wife Sheila of Huffman; grandchildren, Candice Pearson Hahn, Shawn Pearson, Ranell Riddle, Robin Hubbard, Jordan Pearson, Kalina Pearson, and Ashlynn Pearson; and great-grandchildren, Spencer Eckhart, Eathaniel Eckhart, Launa Eckhart, Brynlea Hahn, Shawn Pearson Jr., Wyatt Rue, Ryan Diel, Jones Riddell, Judd Riddle, Jax Riddle.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Pat Downing.
