Gertrude Kubeczka

Gertrude Ann Kubeczka, 94, of High Hope Care Center, formerly of Houston, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012. Gertrude was born Feb. 10, 1918 on the family farm in Chappell Hill, Texas. In 1934, she moved to Houston and retired from Kroger''s after 28 years. Gertrude is survived by her brother, Victor Kubeczka, sisters Valerie Cegelski, Caroline Holub, and Blanche Twardowski, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, William John and Pearl Antonia Wozniak Kubeczka; brothers Steve Kubeczka, Ted Kubeczka, Edwin Kubeczka, Billy Kubeczka, and Charlie Kubeczka, and sisters Mary Pawlak, Katie Meleski, and Maggie Jankowski. Funeral services for Gertrude Kubeczka will be held Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill, with Father Jozef Mosiol officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are J. W. Jankowski, Danny Jankowski, Sr., Danny Jankowski, Jr., Cliff Jankowski and Cody Jankowski.
