Charlene Burfiend

Ginger Charlene Burfiend, 89, of Brenham passed away on January 30, 2024. The Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church of Brenham with Pastor Billy Sutherland officiating. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service.

Charlene was born on December 17, 1934 to Evelyn (Yarbrough) and Horace Maurice Madison in Smackover, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to Vernon Alvin Burfiend on September 8, 1951. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2012. They were blessed with 59 years of marriage, just 11 days short of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. She was employed with Walmart for over 20 years. Charlene was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family. She thoroughly enjoyed "Chicken Foot Tuesdays" there and enjoyed visiting with her friends.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Rick Waldrop of Spicewood, TX and daughter, Sandra Campbell of Brenham, nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her brother.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her name may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church of Brenham.
