Gladys Meischen Baack, 86, widow of Alfred Baack, passed away February 19, 2016 in Tomball.
Gladys Baack was born Sept. 20, 1929, in Shelby to Louis and Theresa Echoff Meischen. On January 10, 1948, she married Alfred Baack in Houston. She was employed for many years by JC Penney as a floor supervisor.
Survivors include her daughter, Beatrice Turner of Houston; son, Rickey Baack and wife Vickie of Magnolia; sister, Hertha Goebel of Shelby; grandchildren: Heath Turner, Brandon Baack and wife Amber, Amber Baack and Clint Bass, Justin Baack and Melissa Hodges; great-grandchildren: Hallie Baack, Colton Baack, Dylan "Bopper" Baack, Grayson Baack, Nicholas Cortes, and Dylan Cortes.
Mrs. Gladys Baack was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services for Gladys Baack will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby. Pastor John David Nedbalek will officiate. Burial will follow in the Shelby Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Baack, Justin Baack, Heath Turner, Colton Baack, Dylan Baack, and Clint Bass.
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby, or the Shelby Cemetery Association.
