Gladys Deans

Gladys Deans of Bellaire, Texas passed away peacefully September 25th, 2015 at The Gardens of Bellaire in Bellaire, Texas. Gladys was a loving mother, wife, and friend. She was always there for her family and anyone else in need. When people think of Gladys, they remember her glowing smile and outgoing personality. She treasured her years of working with infants at Richmond Plaza Baptist School and other nurseries for 28 years. Gladys was an active member of the Seekers Class at Bellaire United Methodist Church for the last 30 years, and a former member of the Adelphi Class at First United Methodist Church in Houston. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Deans, her parents Betty and Hale Lawrence Beard, her brothers, Floyd and Hale Lawrence Beard, Jr., sister Betty Lorene Hataway, her loving daughter-in-law, Judy Deans,deceased wife of Michael Deans, and her grandchild, Shane Manlove. Surviving is her loving family, including her two sons, John & his wife, Beth Deans, of Brenham, TX and Michael Deans and his wife Jackie Deans of Highlandville, Missouri.; a daughter, Judy & her husband, Bill Collins, of Cuenca, Ecuador; six grandchildren: Devin Manlove, Brandon Manlove, Shane Manlove, Jacqui Deans, Danielle Deans; Dustin Deans; two great grandchildren, Karen Manlove, Brandon Manlove, Jr.; one great-great grandchild, Raymond Hernandez. There will be a visitation with the family on Friday October 2nd from 5pm until 7pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham, TX. The Memorial Service will commence on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 at 10:00 am at Bellaire United Methodist Church with a reception following the service. Burial will take place at 5:00 p.m. in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
