Gladys Bernice Lehmann Mahlmann, 89, widow of Willie E. Mahlmann, passed away March 26, 2012 in Lawrence Street Health Care Center in Tomball. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church, with interment to follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Pastors Matthew Jacobs and William Holzer will officiate. The family will receive friends and relatives at Grace Lutheran Church prior to the funeral service, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Bernice was born July 28, 1922 in Greens Creek, Fayette County, Texas to Carl Reinhold and Hulda Amanda Krakosky Lehmann. She was baptized Aug. 13, 1922 in Bethany Lutheran Church of Greens Creek, and confirmed April 5, 1936 in Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Warda. It was in this same church that she married Willie E. Mahlmann on April 4, 1948. A charter member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Houston, Bernice was also a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church of Brenham. She resided in Industry, Texas for many years. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Pat Mahlmann; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Lynn Mobley; grandchildren: Jeff Mobley and wife Kerry, Lori Tolentino and husband Kevin, Kathy Mahlmann and fiancé Scott Sprung, and Samantha Mahlmann; great-grandchildren: Jackson Mobley, Kolton Mobley, Kade Tolentino, and Lillie Sprung; sisters and brothers-in-law Mildred and Anton Lorenz, and Ruby and Alfred Bohot, and sisters-in-law, Lorene Radford and Elenora Rohde. Preceding her in death was her husband, Willie E. Mahlmann, parents, Carl and Hulda Lehmann, and sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Arthur Lehmann, Serving as pallbearers are Jeff Mobley, Kevin Tolentino, Dennis Mobley, Roland Wittner, Ronald Hauck, Keith Bohot, and Wesley Lorenz. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, 1212 W. Jefferson, Brenham, Texas 77833. Funeral arrangements for Gladys Bernice Mahlmann are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
