Glenn Grantom

Glenn Wesley Grantom, 82, of Brenham, died July 26, 2017, in Brenham.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Aug. 12, 2017, at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Mr. Grantom was born Dec. 19, 1934 in Houston, TX, to Charlie and Delia Ethel (Reeves) Grantom. He served in the Army National Guard. On Sept. 3, 1960, he was married to Anna “Carolyn” Zaeske. He had been employed as a plumber, in real estate and sales, and as an oil tools machinist. Mr. Grantom was a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite and Pachyderm Club. He loved dancing and started a dance club at the Senior Citizens Center. He was also a member of the Washington County Appraisal District Appeal Board.

Survivors include his sons, Darryl Grantom of Brenham and Bryan Grantom of Waller; daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Doug McCord of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Betty Grantom of Kingwood; grandchildren: Wes Grantom, Michael Grantom, Anna Rogers, Keith Grantom, Jacob McCord, James Grantom, Connor Grantom and Lance Grantom; and great-grandchild, Rooney Grantom.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Delia Grantom; sister, Billye Jean Grantom; wife, Carolyn Grantom; and sons, Glenn Grantom and Devin Grantom.
