Glenn Krause

Glenn George Krause, 71, husband of Esther Ann Andrejczak Krause, died April 7, 2012 at his residence. Glenn was born August 23, 1940 in Round Top to Rubin August and Ira Nustedt Krause. He was baptized and confirmed in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top. On March 1, 1969, he married Esther Andrejczak in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg. Glenn engaged in farming and ranching throughout his life, and was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top. A devoted community servant, Glenn was an active member of the Round Top-Warrenton VFD, where he was a past Assistant Chief, and of the Round Top Rifle Association, serving 54 years in both organizations. He served on the Board of Directors of Fayette Co. Appraisal District for 15 years, the Board of Trustees for Round Top-Carmine ISD for 21 years, Round Top Carmine Young Farmers, as a Local Director of the Fayette Co. Farm Bureau, local director of the Cummins Creek Wildlife Management Association, and past director of Lee Co. Farmers Co-op. Glenn especially enjoyed camping and hunting in the Hill Country, and was a firearms enthusiast. He treasured time spent with his granddaughters giving them 4-wheelers rides, and he always had gum in his truck for them. Glenn spent many hours barbecuing at the Round Top Rifle Assoc. Hall for various functions. Survivors include his wife, Esther Krause of Round Top; son and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Suzanne Krause of Carmine; son, Weldon Krause of Round Top, and granddaughters, Madison, Megan, and Mallory Krause of Carmine. Other surviving relatives include brother-in-law Harry Andrejczak and wife Joyce of Caldwell, and sister-in-law, Irene Andrejczak of Brenham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rubin and Ira Nustedt Krause, an infant son, Harvey Glenn Krause, and parents-in-law, Joe and Angela Mazurkiewicz Andrejczak. Funeral services for Glenn George Krause will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top. Pastor John David Nedbalek will officiate. Burial will follow in Florida Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a Prayer Service scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.. Serving as pallbearers are Eric Schobel, Carl Schobel, Franke Srubar, Wayne Mayer, Tommy Baker II, Kieth Burcalow, Preston Davis and Cole Dismukes. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Round Top-Warrenton VFD, and the morning coffee group at Round Top Farm and Ranch. Memorials may be directed to Round Top-Warrenton VFD, or to Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top. Funeral arrangements for Glenn George Krause are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
