Glenn Lampe

Glenn Edward Lampe, 71, died June 12, 2017 in Brenham.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017 at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Ken Weiss officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Glenn Edward Lampe was born July 7, 1945 in Brenham to Alfred and Gladys Schulz Lampe. He was baptized June 17, 1971 . On March 21, 1970, he was married to Linda Kay Klehm, who preceded him in death in 2011.

Glenn was a faithful member of Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin. He served as the distributor for the Houston Post for over 20 years. He enjoyed working on old cars, especially the Chevy Nova. He prepared barbecue meals for his family, and worked in his vegetable garden. Playing pool and trips to Louisiana and Las Vegas were favorite pastimes.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Crystal and Curtis Martin, and Chantel and Reynaldo Torrez, Jr., all of Brenham; brothers Alfred Jr. and wife Esther; Donald Lee Lampe, James (Jim) Lampe, and Ray Lampe, all of Brenham; sister, Shirley Nichols of Navasota; grandchildren: Chase Conrad Martin, Colton Wayne Martin, Kailey Lynette Torrez, Joshua Rey Torrez, and Kristen Marie Torrez.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Linda Lampe. He was also predeceased by his favorite pet dog, Minnie.

Serving as pallbearers are Seth Klehm, Justin Klehm, Chase Martin, Curtis Martin, Reynaldo (Ray) Torrez, Jr., Jesse Klehm, Danny Dahlquist, and Jason Hupe. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Brenham Cemetery Association.

Memorials may be directed to Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church or to Hospice Brazos Valley.
