Gloria Schrader

Gloria Schoppe Schrader, 86, died July 4, 2018 in Lockhart, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Gloria Schrader was born in Lyons, Tx. on October 4, 1931 to Gus and Minnie Oppermann Schoppe. She took loving care of her family as a homemaker.

Since 2015, she made her home at Parkview Nursing home in Lockhart, Tx. where she was loved by the staff and residents until her death.

Survivors include her daughter, Georgia Schrader of Lockhart; sister-in-law Gwen Schoppe of Somerville; grandchildren: Misti Lyn Shumate, Mindi Gail Vinklarek (Jeramie), and Melanie Beth Warschak (Koy). Great-grandchildren: Hanna Beth Vinklarek, Mark Alan Vinklarek, Wes Daniel Warschak, and Maggie Beth Warschak.

Also surviving is special friend, Benton Roberts, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie B. Schrader, and two brothers and three sisters.

Serving as pallbearers are Koy Warschak, Jeramie Vinklarek, Tim Langham, Roger Caldwell, Leslie Schoppe, Ronnie Langham, and Jamie Langham. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as Bobby Ulich, Bill Ulich, and Benton Roberts.
