Gus Seeker, Jr.

Gus Seeker, Jr., 78, of Brenham died Sept. 15, 2006, in a Houston hospital. Mr. Seeker was born June 20, 1928, in Brenham, the son of Gus and Emma Schramme Seeker. He was baptized July 23, 1928, at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill and was confirmed April 18, 1943, at the same church by Pastor Paul Gogolin. On June 4, 1950, he was married to Ruby Huseman at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn by Pastor C.J. Appel. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Ruby Seeker, on Aug. 29, 2004. Survivors include his son, Rick Seeker; daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Mark Lam; sister-in-law, Johnnie Mae Lueckemeyer; and three grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 at St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastors Lawrence Bade and Kim Little-Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
