Guss Neumann, 94, of Brenham, died November 15, 2020, in College Station.
Visitation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20 at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
Mr. Neumann was born March 16, 1926, in Brenham, to Fritz and Rosa (Spinn) Neumann. He served in the U.S. Navy and in World War II, and during his employment years he worked for Tielke Garage, Brenham Wholesale and Herrmann’s Garage. He was also a life long member of American Legion Post #48 in Brenham.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura (Wellbrock) Neumann; his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Fritz J. and Esther Neumann; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Klaus and Emma Wellbrock; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John Wellbrock, Albert and Ella Addicks, Martin and Elnora Wellbrock, Herbert and Lenora Schulz, Alvin and Louise Wendler and Walter and Norma Stegmann.
Honorary pallbearers are Wade Neumann, Glenn Wellbrock, Kenny Wellbrock, Donald Wendler, Floyd Addicks, Ricky Wellbrock, Dewayne Vann, Ronnie Wellbrock and Leonard Wellbrock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill.
