Harry Kubeczka

Harry Pete Kubeczka, 80, of Brenham, died Jan. 11, 2015, at College Station Medical Center in College Station. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church of Brenham with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Brenham. Mr. Kubeczka was born Feb. 25, 1934 at Chappell Hill, TX, to John and Katy Mikolajewski Kubeczka. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill. He was educated at St. Mary''s School and Chappell Hill School. Mr. Kubeczka was a saw operator for 27 years at Steadley Co. He was a member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church of Brenham. He loved to visit with his friends, grow vegetables and take care of his animals. If he found a good deal, he took advantage of it immediately. Survivors include his special friend, Natalie Adler of Brenham and her son and daughter-in-law, Otis and Amy Adler of Brenham; brothers, Johnnie Kubeczka and wife Ruby and Antone Kubeczka and wife Caroline, all of Brenham; sister, Sophie Levandowski of Hempstead; sister-in-law, Harriett Grebe; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mike Kubeczka and Alois Kubeczka; sisters and brothers-in-law, Stella and Louis Kmiec, Sarah and Leonard Dismukes, Agnes Kubeczka and Caroline Heise; and brother-in-law, Leon Levandowski. Pallbearers will be Johnnie Lee Eickenhorst, Greg Kubeczka, Marty Kubeczka, Poncho Dismukes, Joe Kmiec, Henry Kmiec and John Bolcerek.
