Harry Lee passed away November 12, 2016 with his family by his side.
Harry Lee was born on August 24, 1940 in Burton, TX, the only son of Harry G. Stark and Nora Lee (Wilkening) Stark. He was united in marriage to Deanna (Quebe) Stark of Brenham, TX on February 14, 1965 in Prairie Hill, TX.
Harry Lee grew up a member of First Christian Church of Burton, where he was baptized. He was a graduate of Burton High School where he lettered in all sports available and was voted most Athletic in 1958. Harry Lee was also a member of the first Little League baseball team of Washington County.
Harry Lee graduated from Blinn College. Afterwards he attended The University of Houston until he was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1963-1965. He began his career with the Railroad in 1958. His Railroad career covered 42 years and a path that took him to places like Sierra Blanco, El Paso, Tyler, Houston, Whiteville Louisiana and every place in between. He worked in every department the Railroad offered outside of executive management.
Upon retiring from the Railroad in 2000, Harry Lee found his next purpose giving back to Free Masonry. Harry Lee was raised a Master Mason in Graham Lodge No. 20, Brenham, TX, May 20, 1966. He held a dual membership in Cade-Rothwell No. 1151(merged with Woodland Lodge) where he was also a Past Master. He was awarded honorary memberships and is a Master Mason in Good Standing of Woodland No. 1157, Conroe No. 748 and Garden Oaks No. 1306. He attained the 33rd degree in The Scottish Rite and was a member of the Arabia Shrine Temple. Most notably, Harry Lee devoted an enormous amount of time over the last 16 years performing Masonic Graveside ceremonies at the request of Masons and their families. This is an eloquent ceremony that he took pride in performing purely from memory and he was sought out by dozens of Masonic Lodges to do so. The conservative estimate of Masonic Funeral ceremonies that Harry Lee has performed is over 400. Harry Lee was also proud to be a founding member of the Former Texas Rangers Foundation.
