Harry Wellmann left his earthly home and family on Wednesday evening, November 30, 2005, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas. He reached the age of 84 years, 3 months and 5 days. Harry was born August 25, 1921, in Brenham, to Henry and Ida Neumann Wellmann. He was baptized and confirmed in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville, where he was a member all his life. He loved to go to church. He served his country in the Army for three years in World War II. On March 1, 1947, he was united in marriage to Lenora Remmert at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. They moved to Wiedeville, where they farmed cotton and corn in his early years. Then Harry enjoyed raising and looking after his cattle. He worked at all the auction barns in this area over 40 years and won the Top Hand Award several times. He now rests in peace in that beautiful mansion in heaven our Lord and Savior has prepared for all of us one day. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lenora; one daughter, Barbara Jean Kohring and husband Robert Wayne of Brenham; four sons, Donald Ray Wellmann and wife Diana, Glenn Dean Wellmann, Harvey Lee Wellmann and Anthony Wellmann, all of Brenham; 11 grandchildren, Cheryl Joswiak, Lori Reichwein and husband Robert, Teresa Voskamp and husband Casey, Randall Kohring and wife Michele, Bradley Kohring and friend Katie Bush, Misty Dominey and husband Loyd, Timothy Wellmann, Samantha Wellmann and friend Kyle Nix, Krystal Wellmann and friend Trey Schoenvogel, Burt Wellmann and wife Lisa and Amanda Wellmann; and 11 great-grandchildren, Kaley and Stephen Joswiak, Dustin and Taylor Reichwein, Preston, Jake and Molly Voskamp, Aaron Kohring, Jacob Dominey, Payton Wellmann and Aubrie Wellmann. He is also survived by one sister, Lonnie Addicks; three brothers, Raymond Wellmann and wife Carrie, Robert Wellmann and wife Selma and Ernest Wellmann and wife Earline; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Alice Remmert, Harold and Elizabeth Remmert, Art and Laverne Remmert and Willie Mae Ramsey; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lillie Behnke and husband Bill; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Hilda Wellmann, Herbert and Hilda Wellmann and Eddie and Ella Wellmann; brother-in-law, Willie Addicks; two nephews; one grandson-in-law, William Joswiak; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Willie and Anne Remmert; brothers-in-law, Melvin Remmert and Wilbert Remmert; and sister-in-law, Audrey Remmert. The family will receive relatives and friends at Memorial Oaks Chapel Friday, December 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3 in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville with Pastor Jim Abbott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville.
