Hattie Mary Skweres, 99, passed away October 8, 2019 in Brenham.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 11,2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Msgr. Zientek officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rosary beginning at 1:30 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11.
Hattie Mary Skweres was born October 1, 1920 in Brenham to Ike and Victoria (String) Januzewski . On May 4, 1942, she married Pete Skweres in Brenham, and lovingly took care of her family as a homemaker. Gardening was a favorite hobby, and Hattie spent many happy hours in her garden. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing for her family.
Survivors include her son, Patrick C. Skweres of Montgomery; daughters and sons-in-law Rita and Dale Faerber of Humble, and Dolores and C.P. Woodruff, Jr. of Houston; grandchildren: Patrick J. Skweres, Jennifer Woodruff, Phillip J. Skweres, Chris Faerber, and Ryan Faerber; great-grandchildren: Melinda Skweres, Bailey Faerber, Whitney Faerber, Cole Faerber, and Caden Faerber.
Mrs. Skweres was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Skweres; son, Raymond Skweres; daughter-in-law Pamela Skweres; sisters Maggie Majewski, and brothers Louie and Lee Januszewski.
Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Faerber, Chris Faerber, Patrick Skweres, Phillip Skweres, Jennifer Woodruff, and Dale Faerber.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
