Heather Krista Lett, 20, of Brenham, went home to be with Jesus on March 15, 2011 in North Cypress Medical Center. Heather was a beautiful born-again Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. She suffered severely for 5 years with daily painful migraine headaches. However, God in His grace and mercy blessed Heather with the most wonderful and precious gift: her daughter, Alexa Jade Lett. Heather loved her with all her heart and her last wishes were for her family to take care of Alexa! Born April 14, 1990 in Brenham, to Tony Joe and Sharon Gay Ullrich Lett, Heather attended Brenham High School. She is survived by her parents; a daughter, Alexa Jade Lett of Brenham; grandfather, Bill Starnes; sisters and brothers-in-law Tiffany and Keith Brooks, Tasha and Jason Ladewig, all of Brenham; Charity and Bradley Shiflett of Tomball; aunts and uncles Douglas and Sedalia Ullrich of Burton; Fritzi and Anson Jones of Pasadena; Charlie Adamcik of Brenham; Sherry and Terry Maxwell of Brenham, Wallace and Vicki Johnson of Wimberly, and uncle Gus Sanchez of Florida; great-aunt Lillie Dittmar of Round Top; nieces and nephews Jayden and Jacob Ladewig, Avery and Addison Brooks, and Wyatt Shiflett. Also surviving is special friend, Jeff Chandler. Heather was baptized after receiving Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Lakewood Church in Houston, where Joel Osteen serves as pastor. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Otto and Trena Ullrich; grandmother Bettie Jo Starnes, aunts Carole Adamcik and LaFonda Sanchez. Funeral services for Heather Krista Lett are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine, with burial to follow in Carmine Cemetery. David Vanvader will officiate, assisted by Sgt. Daniel Gaskamp. The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Keith Brooks, Jason Ladewig, Bradley Shiflett, Billy Maxwell, Kyle Kieke, Kaden Kieke, Jordan Gaskamp, Doug Ullrich, and Scott Barnes. Those who wish to memorialize Heather may make a contribution to a special education fund which has been set up for Alexa Jade Lett at Brenham National Bank.
