Helen Hueske Clark, 93, passed away, Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in Brenham, Texas. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main St., Brenham, with Dr. Wesley Wellborn officiating. Burial: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 24 in San Jose Burial Park Cemetery, 8235 Mission Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78214, with Reverend P. Carlos Gonzales officiating.. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Harlandale United Methodist Church, San Antonio, or First United Methodist Church, Brenham. Helen Hueske Clark was born November 7, 1910, in Brenham, Washington County, Texas, to the late Edward and Eleanor Dietz Hueske. She married L. N. Clark, Jr., April 21, 1935, and enjoyed 39 years of happy married life. L. N. Clark, Jr., preceded her in death July 5, 1974. She attended public schools in Brenham, Blinn College and Business College in Brenham, worked at San Antonio State Hospital, 1954-1958, later attended Draughon s Business College in San Antonio to qualify for Civil Service position, and worked 12 years as secretary with Women s Air Force Recruitment Service at Lackland Air Force Base, until retirement in 1971. She was faithful member of San Antonio s Harlandale Methodist Church for 52 years and later was member of First United Methodist Church, Brenham. She was also actively involved in Order of Eastern Star, Harlandale Chapter #750, San Antonio. She was an accomplished seamstress as well as active volunteer for Harlandale Public Schools and was awarded Life Member of Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers. Special thanks to the staff of Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village in Brenham who provided her with kind and loving care during her last years. Helen Hueske Clark was preceded in death by: husband, L. N. Clark, Jr., granddaughter Janet Lynn Clark 13, brother, Edward Bub Hueske, sister, Eleanor Sis Hueske Greene, brother-in-law, B. Quentin Greene, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lawton and Bernice Clark, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Auvy and Essie Clark, sister-in-law, Henrietta Clark Stulken, brother-in-law, Reverend Edwin F. Lampe. Survivors: Son, Dr. Donald Edward Clark wife, Dr. Joanne Lupton, son Wayne Newell Clark wife, Barbara, sister, Edna Hueske Lampe, sister-in-law, Dorothy Green Hueske, brother-in-law, Edgar Stulken. Granddaughters, Leslie Gail Clark Myers, Dr. Emily Jo Clark, Elaine Annette Clark Gibson husband, Ralph, Ann Lynette Clark Saenz husband, Sam, Leilanni Waynette Clark Jones husband, Brad. Great-grandchildren, Thomas Albert Myers, Jr., Kimberly Ann Myers, Lauren Adelle Gibson, Arielle Sophie Gibson, Raul Andrés Saenz, Madeline Ann Saenz. Nephews and niece: Eddie Hueske wife, Gretchen, Betty Ann Hueske, Paul Lampe wife, Clarice, Richard Greene wife, Ellen. and numerous friends, relatives, and acquaintances who have been touched by the life of Helen Alvenia Norma Hueske Clark.
