Helen Gaskamp

Helen (Lange) Gaskamp, 93, passed away on May 8, 2024 in Brenham, TX. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill with burial following in the church cemetery.

Helen was born in Brenham to Willie Lange and Minnie (Koehne) Lange on February 25, 1931. On December 20, 1953 she was united in marriage to Gilbert Gaskamp. She spent her working years at Blue Bell Creameries. She enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes and cards. She especially loved spending time with family and watching her great grandkids grow!

Left to cherish Helen's memory are her son, Randy Gaskamp; daughter and son-in-law, Gayle "Lynn" and Randy Kunkel. Brother, Floyd Lange; sister, Doris Haarmeyer; grandchildren, Kaci Bradford and husband Charlie; Kolin Kunkel and wife, Amy; Rheagan Mulder and husband, Chase; Gavin Gaskamp and wife, Kristin; great-grandchildren, Kourtney, Klaire and Kase Kunkel, Lily Mulder, Hennessey and Creed Gaskamp and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her husband and parents; sister, Willie Mae Gaskamp; daughter-in-law Tina Gaskamp; sister-in-law Jackie Lange; brother-in-law, Franklin Haarmeyer.

Serving as pallbearers are Kolin Kunkel, Gavin Gaskamp, Patrick Lange, Caden Lange, Randy Kunkel and Charlie Bradford.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Brenham Nursing and Rehab for the excellent care that they provided for Helen.
