Helen Elizabeth Kenjura, 93, widow of Harry Kenjura, passed away Saturday morning. Helen was born November 14, 1913 to Lottie and Joe Wendjinski in Chappell Hill, Texas. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. She married Harry Kenjura January 16, 1933 in Brenham, Texas. Helen was cook for many years at Otto s Café in Brenham and a faithful wife, mother and homemaker. Helen is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Rita and Melvin Dahse, Harriet and Howard Grebe, Gloria and Ernest Witte. Grandchildren; Claudia and Ronnie Walla, Marty and Janice Kubeczka, Michael and Karen Kubeczka all of Brenham. Great-grandchildren; Colton Walla, Dalton Walla, Crystal Kubeczka, Nicole Kubeczka and special friend Shawn Pellerin, Brother and sister-in-law; Victer and Etta Wendt of Maryland, brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law; Alex and Ruth Kenjura of Houston, Raymond and Joy Kenjura, Wanda Schmidt, Josephine Villa of Brenham, Lela Sperdel of Houston, Martha Haskins of Houston and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1992, brother Lee Wendt of Maryland, sister Florence Konolov of California and parents-in-law Kate and Joe Kenjura, son-in-law Mike Kubeczka, brother-in-laws Walter Schmidt, B. M. Haskins, Louis Kenjura, Jessie Valla and Ivan Konolov. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are staff of Brenham Rest Home. Rosary will be held Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral service for Helen Elizabeth Kenjura will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 1 at St. Mary s Catholic in Brenham with Father Alberto Burrell officating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.
